Pensacola native Robert Heath has more than 28 years of experience as a trial lawyer and has tried over 100 jury trials. He practices throughout the state of Florida. He served as an Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit of Florida before entering private practice in 1983.
Robert is a shareholder in Robert N. Heath, P.A., in Pensacola and a partner in the law firm of McDonald, Fleming, Moorhead, Ferguson, Green, Smith, Blankenship, Heath & de Kozan, LLP, also of Pensacola. His office is located in downtown Pensacola across from the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Center.

Admissions and professional memberships
Robert was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1981. In 1984, he was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida and U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit. In 1988, he was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Robert previously served as a member of the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section, is a Fellow of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association and has served on the Insurance Task Force for the Florida Justice Association since 2001. Active in the American Association for Justice, he is also a member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and the 1st Circuit Justice Association. He serves on several national arbitration panels.
Honors and awards
He has earned an AV® rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest rating possible given by his peers in the Pensacola area. Super Lawyers Magazine named Robert a Florida Super Lawyer in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Florida Trend Magazine also selected him as one of Florida’s Legal Elite in 2009.
Publications
Robert is the author of “Proposals for Settlement in PIP Cases: Should U.S. Security Ins. Co. v. Cahuasqui Be Overturned?" published in the Florida Bar Journal and co-authored the chapter on “Documentary Evidence” published by the Florida Bar in its Civil Trial Practice series.
Community involvement
Robert is past chairman and state board member of the Children’s Home Society of Florida, for which he serves as general counsel. He is also an active participant of Emerald Coast Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization that brings America’s veterans to Washington, DC for a one-day free trip to visit their respective memorials.
